Emergency and Municipal Services Tax (formerly Occupational Privilege Tax):
What is the current rate of tax? $10.00 per year

Who is responsible to pay? An employee of any employer that is located in Bethel Park, regardless of their place of residence, who earns in excess of $1,000 per year.
Where/how is the tax paid? Bethel Park employers are required to deduct the $10 tax from their employees' wages and remit it to Centax along with a completed Emergency and Municipal Services Tax Return and a list of the names, addresses and social security numbers of the employees' for whom they are submitting payment. Any self-employed individuals engaging in business within the Municipality must file a return and pay the tax directly to Centax. Return forms are available at the Centax office located at 2940 South Park Road, Suite 100, Bethel Park, PA.15102

When is the tax due? The initial return for the year is due April 30 of the current year. Subsequent returns are due July 31 (for any new employees hired April-June), October 31 (for any new employees hired July-September) and January 31 of the following year (for any new employees hired October-December).
