BPTV FAQs:

Who can use Bethel Park Public Access Television to make TV programs?
Any individual, group or organization located in Bethel Park.

Can I submit a show from outside Bethel Park to play on BPTV channel 7?
Yes, you may send a program to BPTV 5100 West Library Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102, but broadcast of the program is at the discretion of the Facility Director after previewing the show. DVDs/tapes will not be returned unless return postage is provided. Please call 412-831-3304 to speak directly with the Facility Director to discuss submissions.

When can I use BPTV facilities and equipment?
BPTV is available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Any programs, appointments, tapings, editing sessions, etc. done outside of our regular office hours (Monday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Tuesday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) must be confirmed with the Facility Director.

How can I make sure my program, event, etc. gets taped?
BPTV is an all-volunteer based production facility, so we cannot guarantee the taping of any program. The best way to ensure that your project is taped is to supply individuals with an interest in your project who are willing to learn how to use our equipment. We offer complete, comprehensive training to anyone who needs to learn. No previous TV equipment operation is required.

How does my finished program get on the air?
Once your program is completed, it will be worked into the schedule as soon as possible. Your timeslots are determined by the Facility Director based on content, length, target audience and available existing time slots. You may request a general time you want your program to air, and it will be taken into consideration.

How often will my program be aired?
Most regular programs air between 3 and 5 times a week. Each individual program can be expected to be played for about a month in its allotted time slot, unless otherwise agreed upon by the producer and Facility Director.

What happens if I try to schedule a taping when something else is already scheduled for production at the same time?
BPTV tries to accommodate every individual who is using our facilities. However, in the event that equipment is requested by more people than BPTV can supply, scheduling will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

How long will my Bulletin Board announcement run?
BPTV will run your Bulletin Board Announcement until the date of the event you are advertising, unless otherwise requested.
