Mayor Morton has served as Bethel Park's Mayor since 1998. As Mayor he is active in many organizations, such as, the County and State Mayors Associations, Drug Free Schools and Community Advisory Committee, Bethel Park Police Foundation, Bethel Park Trolley Line Beautification Program, and the District Justice Alternative Penalty Program. In addition, Mayor Morton has developed and provides ongoing coordination for the holiday and athletic banners campaign, holiday lighting contest, and the 90+ club.
