The Bethel Park Police Department is a full-service community oriented police department, located on the first floor of the Bethel Park Municipal Building. Thirty-eight full-time police officers, four emergency dispatchers, a secretary and a records clerk staff the department. The department is responsible for 24-hour community wide law enforcement and responds to, and dispatches all requests for emergency services. The 38 sworn officers include, The Chief of Police, two Lieutenants, five Sergeants, a Traffic Sergeant, three Investigators, a Crime Prevention and Community Resource Officer, a , two Traffic Officers, a Unit and 21 Patrolman. The Department offers a number of programs to the community, including a , a Law Enforcement Apprenticeship Program (LEAP) for high school students, a 911 Cell Phone Program for older adults and the Police Pals Program for elementary students.

Solicitor Permit applications:
All door to door sales in residential or commercial neighborhoods require a Solicitors Permit. Individuals or profit and non-profit organizations must secure a Solicitors Permit prior to engaging in any door to door sales. for more information regarding Solicitor Permit requirements/application.
Emergency calls are received directly at 412-833-2000. 911 calls are answered by a countywide dispatch center and transferred to the Bethel Park Emergency Dispatch Center.
